Key facts

Titles and nature
Known as the Winged Mother and Queen of the Avariel, Aerdrie represents freedom and impulse and detests remaining too long in one place.
Manifestations
The aarakocra revere her as their primary deity. To them she may appear as a giant white bird whose shed feathers are treasured in their nests. She also appears as a tall, slender elven woman with feathery wings and a flowing gown that hides her feet. In this adventure she takes a sylph-like form of mist, leaves, feathers, and moving air.
Evermeet statue
Her sacred statue on Evermeet depicts the tall, winged elven form in its flowing gown. Elves who pray before it have a small chance of being transformed into giant eagles.
Holy symbol
A bird silhouetted against a cloud.
Temperament
A distant and unusually chaotic member of the Seldarine, she delights in wind instruments, sudden weather, violent thunderstorms, and the rush of air at great height. Her closest concern is the dwindling avariel people.
Allies
Akadi, Cyrrollalee, Isis, Lurue, Shaundakul, Sheela Peryroyl, and other powers of wind and fertility.
Enemies
The drow pantheon except Eilistraee, and the Deities of Fury: Auril, Malar, Talos, and Umberlee.
Elven theology
Silver elves and moon elves recognize her as an aspect of Angharradh, the tripartite goddess who co-rules Arvandor. In Evereska, sages once caused confusion by teaching that Aerdrie was also an aspect of the primordial Akadi.
Dogma
Take flight into the windswept sky. Cherish freedom, change, new life born from chaos, and all avian creatures.
Church
Her small church has little communication between temples and calls its clergy Winged Siblings. They explore, protect birds, and maintain relations with giant eagles and aarakocra.
Clergy duties
With avariels in decline, many clerics lack natural flight and seek new spells or ancient artifacts that let them soar. They raise winged mounts for elven armies, tend exotic bird cotes whose feathers adorn elven clothing, work with agriculturalists to bring favorable rain, and destroy evil flying beasts.
Prayer and festival
Clerics pray at dawn with the first breeze. On each equinox, the Dance of Swirling Winds joins aerial ballet, wind instruments, high winds, and feather offerings; grounded worshippers may be granted levitation.
Holy sites
The Winds’ Nest in Myth Drannor was an open-topped minor temple built more than two hundred feet above the forest floor across a triad of trees. Her clergy once had a strong presence in Semberholme under the cloud-and-bird symbol. Modern followers can find her shrine in the Floating Gardens of Evereska.
