About this project

What it does

Trax converts a painted or rendered background into movement data for a classic point-and-click adventure. Instead of drawing a single path, designers trace polygonal walkable regions, describe how depth and movement behave inside each region, and define the connections where a character can transition between them.

Each region retains stable coordinates, name, movement axis, depth mode, z-order hints, entry rules, tags, and notes. The resulting structured project gives a game engine the spatial logic it cannot infer from the raster artwork alone.

What you can do

  • Load a raster scene and trace SVG-style walkable polygons
  • Assign left-right, front-back, and other movement-plane behavior
  • Control depth scaling and optional z-order hints per region
  • Connect regions with explicit transition and entry rules
  • Export structured scene data for use in an adventure-game engine
