Isabelle was playing when she fell and hurt herself. She’ll be okay, but she needs your help to stop the bleeding and get rid of the germs.
As Isabelle’s blood, you and your friends move through Isabelle’s circulatory system to heal her. But you also need to do everything else the blood does when she gets hungry, exercises or does her homework.
There are three different ways to play Isabelle’s Blood: as a puzzle, cooperative, or player versus player. You can pick any of them.
Isabelle’s Blood is for 1 to 4 players ages 12 and up. It takes about 20 minutes to play.
How to play
In the basic game, players move platelets and red and white blood cells around Isabelle’s circulatory system. Players move around Isabelle’s Circulatory system by picking up a pile of the cells and then moving them clockwise around the board leaving a cell at each location they encounter. If you’ve ever played Mancala, it’s sort of like that. The movement rules are pretty simple: you must follow the circulatory system and, if there are any locations when you’re done moving that do not have a red blood cell, Isabelle gets sicker.
In order to win, players must use their moves to get six white blood cells and six platelets to her cut.
As time passes, though, there are new challenges for the players to overcome in the form of Ouch! cards. If the players can’t do that, Isabelle gets a bit sicker until she needs to go to the doctors.
